Want to put a spring in your sales? Well, who doesn't? Just this morning, as I was reading Newsweek when an ad caught my eye: "Gravity Defyer Shoes".  (And, no, that's not a typo.)

For a salesperson, who is on his/her feet all the time and needs the power of a Nascar contender, what could be better? Let's talk a closer look at the ad and see what YOU think.

First of all, the Gravity Defyer shoe will make you appear 2" taller. Well, I don't know about you, but I'd like to appear 2" taller. If I'm taller, I may be able to reach that jar of pickles on the top shelf in my kitchen,  I will also fall into another category range on the weight chart. So now I can eat that vanilla ice cream coated brownie without worrying about fitting into my Calvin Kleins! All because I have my Gravity Defyers! With your new shoes, customers will flock to the new taller you because research shows that taller people are more successful (i.e. close more sales!) 

Next, this shoe will ease your joint pain. Reducing your pain is a great motivator to make that additional call when you are ready to wrap it up at the end of the day. You can walk around while you make another phone call, "spring" over to see another customer, and even "bounce" over to your boss' desk and ask for a commission increase--all while wearing your Gravity Defyers! 

After the joint pain reduction, the ad tells us that you will look like a "million dollars". Well, I don't know about you, but of course I want to look like a million bucks.  Customers are much more likely to buy from you when you appear not to need the money.

Best of all, your feet will "feel like you can keep up with the best of the World Famous Secret Agents when you are wearing these shoes". In your business, you may not run into too many Get-Smart-type characters, but the competition certainly is nipping at your heels, and you can get the secret weapon to spring away!
